About this event

Your ghost hunt at Bolling Hall will see you exploring all areas of the building made available to us, where you will be able to experience glass divination, table tipping and a group human pendulum experiment. Plus, for those comfortable enough – Ouija boards will also be on hand for you to use – all to aid your communication with the dead. Also, you will have a whole host of the most up-to-date ghost hunting gadgets to use whilst you carry out your ghost hunt. Taking part in spirit call-outs and wait to see what happens in the silence that follows. Haunted Houses likes to work in small teams to give you the very best experience possible. For the very brave lone vigils (ghost hunting in a room all alone) are very popular and plenty of opportunities to do so will be given.

Ghost tours at Bolling Hall have often come to the same conclusion. Something very strange indeed goes on here at night! It has been reported that this old dwelling is home to at least 20 active ghosts – so your chances of meeting at least one has never been higher.

It is said to be very common to feel hands reach for you and to tug you off your feet in the darkness of certain rooms. Dark figures and shadows have been witnessed walking around the corridors and disappearing into rooms, but on inspection found to be empty. A sweet smell of tobacco is a common occurrence here even though it is very clear smoking has not been taking place for many years inside this giant former home.

There is a very famous ghost sighting reported at Bolling Hall which dates as far back as 1600’s by the Earl of Newcastle, who had taken up residency after his troops had fought a winning battle to take over Bradford Town. The story goes how the Earl claimed to of had his bed clothes torn off him in the dead of night, there before him stood the spirit of a woman begging him to “pity poor Bradford” As it was his plans to destroy the town and kill all residents. After this encounter the Earl spared the town killing only who resisted the takeover, by which this number was few.

Bolling Hall’s blue room is notorious for its haunting by a Victorian woman who seems to watch everything you do. But be warned; she may just have a temper as there are reports of objects being thrown across the room.
