Job Description for Copywriter & Email Marketer:

We are looking for a skilled, creative and visionary Copywriter & Email Marketer to join our fast-growing digital agency who have a reputation as thought leaders in our space.

You will be based at our head office in the incredible Media Works, White City and attending on-location filming dates for clients and supporting in conceptualising filming ideas as required.

You will support the overall creative team in terms of;

  • Graphic design and gif creation
  • Headlines for native creative
  • Overall ideation
  • Website copy, headlines and CTAs
  • Set up of email marketing systems including Klaviyo and Mailchimp

What you will bring:

  • You will ideally have a degree in journalism and have experience in mass mainstream media.
  • You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience across the entire cycle of copywriting – from developing concepts, proactively gathering the right clips/images, shaping drafts, editing, and ensuring impactful distribution.
  • You’ll love social media and be familiar with platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter and CMSs including Wordpress, Klaviyo & Mailchimp. Familiarity with work and concepts of top vloggers including the likes of Gary Vaynerchuk and Casey Neistat is a bonus too.

The role purpose:

  • To take detailed topics and translate into easy to read, engaging English and to lead Bolt Digital in terms of copy and the written word for direct response adverts, blogs, emails, newsletters, social captions and marketing materials.
  • To contribute to the written word / copy and creative needs of multiple channels including emails, display ads, text placements, landing pages and websites.
  • To ensure Bolt Digital sets and follows the latest trends in email marketing, email automation, social copy and advert copy whilst using appropriate tones of voice, phrases, copy style, humour and use of assets such as emojis for each brand we work with.
  • To play a key role in shaping the direction and up levelling of Bolt Digital and our client campaigns and bringing marketing messages to life through the written word.

The role’s responsibilities:

  • Developing fresh ideas, writing and editing direct response ad copy for brands.
  • Developing fresh ideas, writing and editing direct response email for brands.
  • Testing variations of the above to ensure highest performance of copy.
  • Developing seasonal and topical ideas for blog, newsletter, social content and ad copy.
  • Collaborating with the creative team for delivery.
  • Developing copy so it remains compelling and engaging.
  • Writing and editing weekly blog content for the full client portfolio
  • Writing and designing weekly newsletter content for full client portfolio
  • Transitioning clients from various email servers into Klaviyo, coordinating set up, implementing, designing, and writing email sequences/automations
  • Troubleshooting email marketing issues using Klaviyo and Mailchimp
  • Creating daily social media (Instagram and Facebook) content for clients
  • Attending on-location filming dates for clients and supporting in conceptualising filming ideas as required
  • Keeping up to date with competitor news, ongoing trends, and related client information

General skills:

Job Description for Digital Comms Planner:

What You'll Bring:

  • We are looking for a motivated and conscientious individual who has a minimum of 2 years experience in a digital media role, preferably at an agency currently operating in a Digital Buyer/Planner role.
  • You will have a solid understanding of all digital media channels; Display, Paid Social, Email, PPC & SEO. Awareness of Influencer marketing would also be a benefit.
  • Be thorough and accurate in reviewing and delivery of work, attention to detail is a key requirement
  • Ability to work on multiple projects effectively under short time pressures.
  • Knowledge and experience is required for the following systems Google Ads and Facebook Ads Campaign Manager, Google Analytics, Advanced Excel and Powerpoint.

Main Job Purpose

  • This role is crucial in the planning and development of our clients’ digital activities. You will identify opportunities to grow our service usage across multiple Client accounts and markets and in doing so, grow the revenue and growth potential of the business.
  • You will provide strategic and analytical rigor to the planning and coordination of the online campaigns we manage to the relevant team members.
  • You will work with the performance and creative team, complementing their creative, editorial and implementation expertise, with robust, strategic and tactical planning.
  • You will sit at the crossroads of service usage, operational forecasts and predictions, forward and tactical planning, and campaigns engagement effectiveness.
  • You will have your finger on the pulse of operational data, and calculate when and how to most effectively and efficiently reach our members.
  • You will use your research and analysis business pulse data to develop a strategic and tactical comms plan, as well as react quickly and effectively to spikes and dips in service usage.
  • You will analyse campaigns providing insight and recommendations for future campaigns and improvements.
  • You will act holistically ensuring that end-to-end journeys are planned, tested and delivered successfully.
  • You will have an unparalleled understanding of how your work fits within the sphere of our Client programmes and our Operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the client relationship for all digital matters
  • Be an expert in your client’s industry, the competitors within the sector and their general industry environment

  • You will be well versed in taking briefs from, and presenting back to clients

Campaign Management and Performance:

  • Brief and manage the channel specialists ensuring work is delivered on time, to a high standard and that it is aligned to the client’s digital strategy
  • In-depth knowledge of digital platforms and their capabilities from a buying and planning perspective
  • Ensure the reporting schedule is set out and adhered to throughout the campaign life cycle
