How long is the course?

The course is 3Km and will take place on the Athletics track and the grounds of Bolton Arena.

Question 2

Do I have to run the whole course?

Accepted Answer

Not if you don't want to. We would like as many people as possible taking part and that is at whatever speed and pace you are comfortable with.

Is the run timed?

Accepted Answer

No, this isn't a timed race, it's all about having fun.

Question 4

Where can I park my car?

Accepted Answer

Bolton Arena has plenty on free onsite parking. Just put BL6 6LB into your Sat Nav

Question 5

Is the course suitable for Wheelchairs and Pushchairs?

Accepted Answer

The course is a flat terrain, on a sprung athletics track and paths. If you’d like to have a look at the route beforehand please contact us on 01204 488 12 and we will do what we can to help.
Also, please bear in mind that the coloured powder will cover the wheelchair or pushchairs.

Can my child take part?

Yes! the colour run is safe for all ages and we welcome families to take part.

Question 7

Can my child run on their own?

Accepted Answer

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied on the run by an adult who is registered to take part. Children over 12 can run on their own, but must be accompanied to the event by a responsible adult who is on site all times.

What should I Wear?

Accepted Answer

Be sure to wear light coloured clothing that you don't mind getting too messy (the coloured powder is washable but may take a few washes before it comes out and may stain pale colours - so we don't want you to take any chances!). You may want to cover your hair with a cap!

What should I put on my feet?

Accepted Answer

Wear comfortable trainers with good grip for running/walking in, but remember these will get covered in colour too, so wear something you're happy to get messy.

What if it rains?

We wont let a bit of rain stop us! However, a wet day will make the run messier and it could be slippery underfoot so come prepared. If it is wet, it will make the colours from the paint stick more firmly to your hair
and clothing so might take a bit more washing to come clean.

Question 11

What if it gets in my eyes or mouth?

The coloured powder is non-toxic so will not course injury to you if it gets in your eyes or you accidently swallow it. However we do recommend that you wear the sunglasses provided.

Will the paint damage my car?

Accepted Answer

We recommend bring along an old towel/sheet for your seats to prevent any of the colour powder transferring to your car.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately dogs are not allowed at the colour run.

Question 14

Can my friends and family watch me?

Accepted Answer

Yes more the merrier, they can even throw paint over you. However they might also get covered in paint!

Can I get changed after the event?

Accepted Answer

Bolton Arena will have changing rooms and showers available on the day.

Can I purchase more paint?

Accepted Answer

Yes, powdered paint will be available to purchase in the main reception at registration.

Can I take my phone on the run?

Accepted Answer

This would be at your own risk, though we would recommend you put it in a clear bag.
