Event description

If, like us, you've used all your superhero powers to entertain the kids over the 'summer' you deserve to celebrate at the BOOGIE DAYS Superhero September event!

We'll also be celebrating the superheroes from our childhood - remember Dangermouse, Wonderwoman, He-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? - throwing into the mix some theme tune remixes and some super-cool 80s and 90s classics.

BOOGIE DAYS is a family daytime disco in a child-friendly environment with real DJs, real music and a whole lot more. Think old school party meets new school parenting - family and friends on the dance floor, together with all the lights and neon fun you would expect from a real club. Enjoy a drink at the bar with your friends, or get on the dance floor with your kids - the more the merrier!

What can I expect?

A child-friendly environment with the lights and feel of a nightclub, baby changing facilities, helpful venue staff, space for buggies (although this will be limited so slings are encouraged), neon party fun included in your ticket price and a fully licensed bar at your disposal. Snacks will not be provided so please remember to bring what you may need for your little people. Please don’t bring any nut-based products for allergy reasons. The Courthouse is open for food all day from noon if you want to make a day of it.

Who is BOOGIE DAYS suitable for?

BOOGIE DAYS aims to appeal to both adults and children, specifically for anyone with young children aged 8 and under. Older siblings are very welcome – but please remember that adults remain responsible for their children at all times.

A maximum of 3 children per adult. A maximum of 4 adults per child. All tickets must be bought together and all of the party must arrive at the same time to be allowed entry.

Do I have to buy a ticket for my baby?

Non-walking infants are FREE but please do “buy” a ticket for your baby as they will count against the capacity of the venue.

Are there tickets on the door?

We’re not taking cash on the door for this event but if the event hasn’t sold out already you could log in on the day to buy them online.

Do I need to print my tickets?

After purchasing your tickets, you will receive an email with your pdf tickets attached. You don’t need to print them out - just flash the pdf at us on your phone.

How loud will it be?

Music is played at lower levels than at clubs and is entirely safe. Some people may choose to bring ear defenders for babies but it isn’t necessary as we’ll carefully monitor sound levels to suit little ears. If you have any issues or queries then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

What is the lighting like inside the venue?

Lighting will be less dark than the venue’s standard lighting set up but will still include colour changing, moving lights but no strobes. Due to the reduced light in the environment please ensure your children abide by the “no running” rule.

How long are BOOGIE DAYS parties?

Two hours.

If I can’t attend for any reason, do you offer refunds?

Unfortunately we can’t offer refunds for tickets already purchased under normal circumstances but tickets can be passed on to other guests, assuming they meet the requirements for the adult to child ratios. If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Will photographs be taken?

BOOGIE DAYS reserves the right to take images and shoot video at events for marketing purposes; by attending the event you acknowledge this and give permission. However, as parents we do understand the importance of safeguarding and if you would rather your child isn’t photographed please inform the photographer.

Can I take my buggy in?

Buggy parking space is limited - we want as much room for dancing - so slings are encouraged for non-walking babies. There will be a cloakroom available for coats and change bags. All items are left at your own risk. The closest car park is Shaw's Brow, just opposite the Courthouse Club entrance on Church Street.

What kind of access does the venue have?

We want everyone to be able to enjoy BOOGIE DAYS and will try to accommodate any specific access needs. Please get in touch via email or our facebook page with any specific requirements that you, your friends or your family may have and we’ll get back in to you ASAP with answers and options. Do remember this is a nightclub - every effort is made to clean up but we would suggest children keep their shoes on.
