To welcome all book lovers of different reading preferences, our monthly book pick is simply a conversation starter - whether you’ve read it or not, our discussion topics go far beyond the book, touching on a variety of themes and interests. Our gathering is NOT about analysing the book like a seminar, but more about connecting, sharing ideas, and enjoying a relaxed, social evening with fellow book lovers over drinks.

📚 Book Recommendation of the Month:
Butter by Asako Yuzuki
Synopsis (without spoilers):
When a reclusive, high-profile murder suspect—accused of seducing and killing wealthy men with lavish meals—agrees to speak only to one journalist, a compelling story begins to unfold. As the reporter dives deeper into the suspect’s world of culinary indulgence and mysterious allure, the lines between truth and manipulation start to blur.
Set in modern Japan, Butter is a provocative exploration of femininity, appetite, obsession, and how society judges women who refuse to conform. Richly layered and thought-provoking, it challenges our perceptions of guilt, desire, and the power of storytelling.

Our book club sessions are a great way to engage in lively and friendly discussions, share insights, and meet fellow book lovers, sometimes the author as well.
Our meeting will be held in a room exclusively reserved for us at a private member's club in South Kensington, just steps away from Gloucester Road station. We keep each gathering small - fewer than 10 participants - to ensure everyone has a chance to join and enjoy.
