Book Discovery: Great books for topics (Primary/ELC Early Level)

Join Scottish Book Trust for this Book Discovery session to explore a range of contemporary texts you could use when working with children at Early Level which could be used as part of an interdisciplinary play-based approach to learning.

Research suggests a rich and wide knowledge of contemporary children’s literature and other texts can help nurture reading for pleasure. This session aims to support the development of this and explore how you can use children’s literature as a stimulus for an IDL play-based approach to learning.

This research-informed session will take you through text recommendations; share adaptable activity ideas for use alongside the texts; give opportunity for discussion with other learning professionals; and signpost to further resources to support you.
