Join us for a discussion on architects' libraries with Dominic Eley, Matthew Blunderfield, Reference Point and guests from Edition 3, followed by DJ sets. This launch event is in honour of the third edition in the ARCH-IVE series bringing together images and interviews with Architects on their libraries, designed and edited by Dominic Eley.
Matthew Blunderfield (Scaffold)
Matthew Blunderfield is a photographer and host of Scaffold, a podcast exploring contemporary architecture through conversation. This ongoing interview project maps the shifting contours of architectural culture today. His photography has appeared in The Architects’ Journal, Superposition Magazine, and The Architectural Review. It was recently featured in the book London Arboretum, examining the role of trees in urban design, and in At Home in London, a book series reflecting on the place of the home in the city. Blunderfield also teaches at the RCA where he co-runs an M.Arch design studio with Cathy Hawley, speculating on new models of collective living.
Sophia Dowson Collins (Reference Point / CRA)
Sophia is the Co-founder of Reference Point and artist collective MILKstructures. She is currently studying for her Masters in Research Architecture at Goldsmiths.
Dominic Eley (ARCH-IVE / CRA)
Dominic is an architect and educator working across fields of landscape, archiving and ecology. Since 2020 he has run ARCH-IVE, a research platform that interviews urban practitioners about their libraries. He coordinates a design unit on the BA Interior Design course at the University of East London, and is a Guest Tutor and Critic for BA Architecture at the University of Nottingham. Dominic is currently studying on the MA Research Architecture course at Goldsmiths, University of London.
ARCH-IVE : Edition 3 is a book about books, presenting practioners key publications and why they have been significant to their practice and life.

ARCH-IVE is a research platform that interviews urban practitioners about the literature that has shaped their work. It aims to exhibit the entangled relationship individuals have with books, interrogating how they use, question and organise their literary references.
Edition 3 expanded on two previous editions published online, working with the printed format to present 9 interviews, 3 essays, 26 colour photographs and a bibliographic poster, collected together within an archival folder. Edition 3 includes:
