About this event

Arts • Design

The book explores the process and thinking of the architectural practice ELASTICOFarm, led by Stefano Pujatti and based in Turin and Toronto. This volume provides a cross section of ELASTICOFarm’s conceptual approach through the reading of built projects and competitions, and is accompanied by an intimate documentation of the studio. The making of the book was approached as an architectural project in itself, where writing was one part of a broader research effort. Published by LetteraVentidue, this title forms part of the series Imprinting, curated by Antonino Saggio, on contemporary Italian architecture.

We are delighted to welcome Michela Falcone, Stefano Pujatti, and Rory James Sherlock to the AA Bookshop to mark the launch of the new edition of this title.

Michela Falcone is an architect, educator and curator. She teaches at the Architectural Association and leads the Interior and Spatial Design programme at Buckinghamshire University. She is a mentor for the Woman in Architecture programme, and her work has been exhibited internationally.

Stefano Pujatti graduated in architecture from IUAV and from Sci-Arc. He worked in Los Angeles for Coop Himmelb(l)au and then in Paris for Gino Valle. He is the founder of ELASTICOFarm, a practice and place of cultural exchange that seeks to draw and integrate art, design, and science into architecture.

Rory James Sherlock is an architect. He currently teaches at the University of Cambridge and the Architectural Association, and previously taught at the Royal College of Art, London. Rory edits books and journals, including AA Files, writes for various publications, and runs a design studio. His work has been exhibited internationally.

The book will be available at a special launch price of £18 (RRP £20).
