About this event

Author Emma Warren started writing her new book when she was staying in the Curfew Tower in 2023. This cultural history of youth clubs in the UK and NI includes Cushendall people talking about youth clubs at the Old School House, St Aloysius and in Glenariff, as well as junior discos at the Thornlea. Emma will be talking about the book with Feargal Lynn, and reading from it.

Is the venue accessible

There is no lift unfortunately, and people attending will have to walk up a couple of flights of stairs.

Will drinks be available?

Complimentary soft drinks will be available but no alcohol.

What will be happening?

At 7pm there will be introductions, welcome and fire drill info. Emma and Feargal will talk about the book for about followed by Emma reading sections from it. Then we'll be welcoming questions, stories, or other youth club type comments or observations. Copies available for sale, w/ author signing.
