Event description
Please join us for this book launch, co-edited by Prof. Pam Burnard (Cambridge University) and Dr. Laura Colucci-Gray (Edinburgh University)

About this Event

This event launches the newly published book, co-edited by Prof. Pam Burnard (Cambridge University) and Dr. Laura Colucci-Gray (Edinburgh University): “Why Science and Art Creativities Matter. Re-Configuring STEAM for Future-Making Education” (Brill Publishers).

Drawing on a range of theoretical perspectives, this book does more than discussing the applications of STEAM and the debates around interdisciplinary practice. This collection of chapters invites readers to discuss the contribution of education across the arts and sciences, and to re-imagine our collective futures.

The launch will introduce several of the contributing authors some of whom will present briefly on their chapters, and some International contributors will participate via video-link. We will also feature a panel of three interdisciplinary experts who will comment on the book’s contribution to: (i) philosophical and new theoretical framings (ii) environmental sustainability (iii) and educational transformation (through teacher education).
