Book Look: Outstanding Outcomes in Pupils’ Recorded Learning
Wed 18 January 2017, 08:30 – 13:00 GMT
Cost: £109 per participant (£89 for any further delegates from the same school)
Date: Wednesday 18th January 2017, Gipsy Hill Federation Leadership Centre
Alternative date: Wednesday 18th January 2017
This programme considers how best to measure the impact of a school and its provision through book scrutiny. It is designed for:
Headteachers and other senior leaders who have strategic oversight of their school’s feedback procedures;
Senior leaders and other staff who play an important role in monitoring and assessment routines at their school;
Teachers working at all levels within a school who wish to see outstanding practice in action.
We have found that the programme works particularly well when schools bring a pair or small groups of colleagues to the training (for example, an entire senior team).
A typical programme includes:
0830 Registration, tea and coffee
0900 Introduction and Welcome:
0945 EYFS Overview: capturing and assessing learning in EYFS; learning walk; profiles
1030 Coached Book Look with Heads and senior leaders from Gipsy Hill Federation
1130 Coached Book Look continues
1300 End of session
We also offer a bespoke package for individual schools, which can be tailored to suit your school’s personal requirements (for example, choosing a narrower focus on a particular Key Stage rather than placing equal weight on recorded learning at EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2).
