About this event

Community • Heritage

In this 'how to' workshop we'll explore how to use our favourite picture books as a starting point for creating stories and games.

We'll start by covering the basics of turning a picture book into a sensory story by adding in toys and objects. Then we'll let go of the idea that a picture book should be read cover to cover. Instead, we will discuss how we can dip in and out of books, using them as a springboard to create imaginative play, chat and fun.

This event is for anyone with wee children in their family, or for people working with young children.

Babes in arms are welcome, but the focus is on the adult participants.

Bring along your favourite picture book!
