Description

Description

The Paul Mellon Centre's Early Career Researcher Network would like to welcome you to a workshop on book publishing led by Mark Hallett, Director of Studies, and Emily Lees, Editor.

Mark and Emily will focus on how to transform a PhD into a book, though the broad principles of the submission process will be applicable to anyone interested in publishing an academic book.

Emily will share her practical experience of the submission process - specs, material, approach - and the sorts of things you need to consider in a world where publishers are under increasing pressure to produce books that are financially viable.

Mark will advise on content, writing style and other critical things one needs to think about when producing a manuscript that a publisher might look at.

The event will close with an informal discussion, and Emily and Thomas would like to invite you to join them for drinks after.

This will be an enjoyable and informative evening, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Best wishes,

Emily and Thomas
