Recent years have witnessed a revival of interest in Islamic education and in reconfiguring knowledge, learning and education in Muslim traditions as paramount in the study and appreciation of cultures shaped by Islam. Philosophies of Islamic Education stands in tandem to this call and makes pioneering theoretical and historical contributions, which will be of much interest to the educationalists, academics and students alike. At the event, the book’s editor and contributors will discuss the scope and themes of the book, and the event will include an extended question and answer session.
