Black Grief and Healing: Why We Need to Talk About Health Inequality, Trauma and Loss is a powerful anthology of stories and poems that shine a light on the unique ways in which loss is experienced within the Black community.

This moving collection explores grief through deeply personal and collective lenses, from the impact of the Grenfell Tower fire, to the devastating losses of the pandemic, and the ongoing realities of systemic health inequalities. Contributors from a wide range of backgrounds, professions, and identities reflect on what it means to grieve while living under the weight of continuing adversity.

Join us for an intimate and thought-provoking conversation with contributors to this important work. We’ll explore how grief is held, expressed, and honoured in Black communities, and how healing, though complex, can emerge through storytelling, solidarity, and shared experience.
