About this event

Hobbies • DIY

Join us in London for a fun and beginner-friendly 90-minute taster of the saddle-stitch book-binding technique.

Bring along your flat papers, kids’ drawings, test prints, collage off-cuts or colourful cards – or simply use our materials – and transform them into a unique handmade notebook.

What you’ll learn & make:

  • How to choose or cut your covers
  • How to fold internal pages (we provide high-quality 130gsm paper)
  • How to punch and stitch your notebook
  • How to complete a final trim for a polished finish
  • You’ll start by making a small A6 notebook, then use your off-cuts (or ours) to create a larger A5 (or 2×A6) finished book.

What’s included:

  • A small A6 notebook made during the demonstration
  • Finished A5 (or 2×A6) notebook you make from your off-cuts
  • 8 sheets of high-quality internal paper (plus 2 for the demo book)
  • Access to coloured card, collage scraps and all necessary tools and materials
  • Relaxed, friendly environment (no prior experience needed)

What to bring (optional):

  • Flat papers, off-cuts, colourful cards, children’s drawings, prints – approx A4 or A5
  • Your own materials give you more choice, but don’t worry if you don’t have any – we’ll provide plenty
