In this session you will get an introduction to the Stephen Chaplin – Sketchbooks, Drawings & Paintings exhibition. This display shows the insightful sketch books of painter and art historian Stephen Chaplin.
Not only are Chaplin’s artist books filled with fascinating sketches and notes, but also from 1971 Chaplin actually made his own sketch books. So taking a leaf out of Chaplin’s book you will learn how to make your own sketch book from start to finish with tutor and artist Ian Cameron.
In the session participants will make up to three hard-backed books. The sizes range from 8cm square to A4. All the equipment and materials you need will be provided.
Your tutor Ian Cameron has been making his own books for many years and is an accomplished artist who lives in York.
Open to all over age 12, No experience necessary.
