Booked Standard Daytime Tour
Fri 5 May 2017, 14:00 – 15:30 BST
The group will be taken on foot to our apple orchards where you will see and hear about how we manage our orchards throughout the year here on our farm, later you will be shown a vat house where we ferment and age our ciders and finally you will have the chance to experience the 200-year history of Sheppy’s Cider in our rural life museum, including DVD of our cider-making year.
You will finish off your cider tour in a private room with a fully guided tasting of a selection of Sheppy’s award winning Somerset ciders in a branded ½ pint glass which you will take home with you to remember your visit.
Things you need to know:
Bad Weather - As your visit includes a walk to the orchards, you need to consider how intrepid and well equipped you and your guests are. If you are ready for all weathers (including footwear), our guide will be delighted to take you on the whole tour, but, if not, he or she will plan the tour to suit your needs on the day.
Duration of the Tour - The length of the tour will vary according to whether any elements of the visit are excluded. Your guide will make sure everyone is comfortable about doing what we would normally include in the tour, will make arrangements for anyone who wants to miss out any part of it and will ensure that, if you have special timing requirements, these are met.
Where to Meet – Our Guides are all the enthusiastic type and your guide will be almost as excited as you are about your visit. Your guide will meet you in the shop at the tour meeting point a few minutes before your tour is due to start.
