Whether you are a beginner, someone returning to the sport after a break, or an experienced shot, you will be welcome at Bookham Rifle Club's Open Morning. Target sports are very inclusive, open to people of all ages and genders and those with disabilities.
Bookham Rifle Club has a strong tradition of welcoming and encouraging newcomers to the sport. Many young members include shooting as a part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award, whilst Air Pistol shooting is one of the country's fastest growing sports, and very popular with women and girls. The Club shoots both precision and the challenging and fun rapid fire air pistol.
The Club is offering Air Rifle and Air Pistol sessions at the Open Morning. If you are more interested in Smallbore Rifle please do try Air Rifle/Pistol and then have a look round the Club's four Smallbore Rifle ranges. Each session starts with an introductory talk, covering safety, the basic techniques and what it is that makes target sports so fascinating and enjoyable.
The Club also hosts the Target Shooting School, which runs introductory courses open to all and weekly sessions for youngsters age 10-17 who wish to hone their shooting skills or include shooting in their Duke of Edinburgh Award. Click here for details of the Target Shooting School.
Parking: The Club's car parking is limited, and will be reserved on the day for disabled participants. Please park in Leatherhead Leisure Centre Car Park, pass the front of the Centre, turn right and follow the footpath to the Club. It is a very short walk. If you need to park in the Club's car park please email the organiser David Sprigg well in advance: email@example.com.
Terms and conditions:
All participants must certify that they are not prohibited from shooting and all young people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The lower age limit for participation is 10.
