If you’re running a small business or just getting started as self-employed, bookkeeping might feel like something you’re meant to know, but no one’s actually explained. That’s where this course comes in.
This course breaks down bookkeeping into simple, manageable sections, using simple terms and practical examples. You will learn:
- How accurate records reduce stress, help you make decisions, and keep your business on track.
- What to submit, when it’s due, and how to avoid penalties and surprises.
- Understand what you earn, what you can claim, and how to work out your gross profit.
- Travel, office costs, flat rates and more – what’s allowed, and what’s not.
- How UK tax bands and National Insurance work when you’re self-employed.
- Learn how advance payments towards your next tax bill work – and how to plan ahead.
- Spreadsheets, apps or software – pick the right system and stay organised all year round.
