Human Geographer Danny Dorling’s books are full of injustice and hope. In Seven Children, Danny follows the lives of children growing up in a Britain with Europe’s fastest-rising child poverty rates.

It gets to the heart of post-pandemic Britain’s most pressing issues. What do we miss when we focus only on the superrich and the most deprived? What kinds of lives are British children living between the extremes? Why are most British parents on below-average income? Who are today’s real middle class? And how can we reverse the trends leaving all children worse off than their parents?

Inequality and the 1% outlines the case to take action, asking the question: What can be done to create a fairer, more just politics in an age of extreme division?

In Shattered Nation, he addresses the question of the failing state and in his latest book, The Next Crisis, he addresses the cost of living crisis, immigration, wars and people’s fears about climate change.

Using the most up-to-date research on inequality, Danny’s books are an organising tool for every activist and educator who wants to both fight back, support and nurture children and young people and their learning in a world that is desperately failing them.
