About this event

Community • Heritage

Like it's founder Henry Cockburn, the Association has been passionate about the provision of green spaces for the people, the conservation of historic buildings, and the preseravtion of Edinburgh’s unique vistas and dramatic skylines. Generations of volunteers have given their time and talents to resist a splurge of intrusive advertising, elevated motorways, the destruction of the Old Town and today’s overtourism.

Join us to hear more as the authors and conservation accredited architect Calum Duncan, discuss why, how and with whom the Cockburn Association has engaged over the years, what the current challenges are and what needs to be done to preserve the city for the future.
