Join us for this exclusive workshop, An introduction to directing, run by acclaimed filmmaker Garry Fraser.
Fresh from the set of T2:Trainspotting, where he held the position of Second Unit Director, Garry is back to teach aspiring directors what it takes to make it on the set of a feature length production. Find your directing niche, receive top tips for submitting work to film festivals and hear how best to work alongside script writers, editors, DOPs and producers. Attendees with a current showreel/ examples of work are invited to submit these beforehand to receive direct feedback from Garry.
The workshop will be followed by a screening of Garry's BAFTA Award winning documentary, Everybody's Child, including a live panel discussion with filmmaker and BAFTA New Talent winner Iain Henderson. Please note tickets to the film screening can be purchased on their own but are included in the price of the workshop.

10:45am Collaboration and submission: Working with script writers, editors, DOPs and producers; submitting material to film festivals

1:00pm Working with actors vs. non-actors: Learn different ways to direct scenes, lead improvisation performances and acting for the screen
2:30pm Show and tell: Career advice for those who have submitted showreels/ examples of work
