Description

Boom Town: Live, Work and Play
Digital photography workshops supported by Historic Environment Scotland
Delivered by Picture the Possible in association with Creative Stirling.

Discover Stirling’s Victorian Heritage through the lens of your camera and exhibit your photographs at the Engine Shed during Doors Open Day in September.

Choose from three standalone workshop sessions, each exploring different locations and themes of the industrial heritage of Stirling on; Thursday August 25th, Friday August 26th and Saturday August 27th.

Each has a 10am start and 1pm finish. The meeting point for each event is:

- 25th of August - Stirling Railway Station (outside the cycle hub)
- 26th of August - Old Town Jail (front car park)
- 27th of August - Smith's Art Gallery and Museum

Each workshop will involve walking between various locations around the city, therefore we recommend bringing a bottle of water and appropriate clothing depending on the weather.

These workshops are free to families and individuals of all ages [under 11s must be accompanied by an adult] supported by Historic Environment Scotland. Spaces are limited.

Please bring your own digital camera, camera phone or iPad. We have a limited number of cameras available to borrow. If you would like to borrow one please email us in advance.

Please make sure you contact us before the event if you can’t attend your session once you have booked a place. To ensure no one is disappointed, we will have a waiting list for participants so that we can ensure someone else can enjoy the opportunity!
