At Action Tutoring, we're an education charity with a proven track record of delivering impactful tutoring support to pupils facing disadvantage across England. We believe every child deserves the chance to succeed, and our mission is to help rewrite the narrative for pupils who need it most – building their confidence, boosting academic outcomes, and empowering them to thrive.

Discover how our heavily-subsidised, high-quality English and maths tutoring for Year 5 and 6 pupils can support your school's attainment goals, even with tight budgets.

In this 30 minute webinar, you'll learn:

  • How our tailored tutoring programmes complement what you do in the classroom, helping more pupils grasp key concepts.
  • The tangible, positive impact our support has on closing attainment gaps, boosting pupil confidence and academic results.
  • How we partner with primary state schools to provide accessible, effective interventions that genuinely support your school's goals, without stretching your resources.

Who it's for:

Primary school leaders, teachers, and Pupil Premium Leads currently strategising for the next academic year. If you're finalising end-of-year plans and seeking proven, impactful ways to close the attainment gap using your Pupil Premium budget, this webinar is for you.

Frequently asked questions

What modes of tutoring do you offer?

Our sessions usually have a tutor to pupil ratio of no larger than 1:3, in a face-to-face or online setting.

What grade does a pupil need to be working at to take part in the programme?

For Years 5 and 6, we support pupils who are working towards expected standards.

Who are your tutors?

All of our tutors are volunteers. We believe in harnessing the potential of social power to ‘do good’ without financial reward. It is central to our mission. We have an inspiring pool of tutors who support us because they believe what we do and share our values.
