About the workshop
whatCharity.com, a newly launched platform designed to help all types of charities demonstrate their impact and gain resources from the public, is running a workshop for Surrey-based charities in Guildford, Wed 23rd May, 10am-12pm. The event is for registered charities who wish to create a profile on whatCharity.com.
Agenda
PR and Social Media specialist, Kristel Valaydon, will be providing advice and tips on the best ways to harness your social media channels to help build awareness and support your fundraising campaigns. Kristel is an experienced social media and PR specialist and has experience in working with businesses and charities. https://kvcomms.com
The CEO of whatCharity.com, Tiia Sammallahti, will deliver a session on creating a charity profile on whatCharity.com. All registered charities joining the event will receive a live profile on the platform. Participating the event is not, however, mandatory. A charity can claim their profile anytime by contacting us at shona@whatcharity.com.
Profiles can be completed with whatCharity team help during the workshop, including generating a free, shareable video to support your charity activities, by bringing along a laptop. The profile in whatCharity.com is free.

Preparation for the event to make a most of it
1) Please provide your charity name and England&Wales charity registration number to tiia@whatcharity.com when registering for the event.
2) whatCharity.com will pre-publish your charity profile with Charity Commission data and you can claim it either before, at the event or after the event
3) You will be sent a work-document aligning the digital charity profile for you to either pre-fill or take notes on in the event
4) Those who have a laptop available might benefit from bringing it in and doing some work on the charity profile on the spot
