'Making Connections and Building Communities'

Led by: Pat Armstrong, Chief Executive, ACOSVO

Speaker: Denise King, Chief Executive, Girlguiding Scotland

 

Regional Network events are an opportunity to informally meet your local network for discussions in a relaxed and confidential space. 

Denise King has made her career in the third sector with international and UK NGO experience. Currently Chief executive of Girlguiding Scotland, a thriving organisation for girls and young women aged 5 to 25 years with 60,000 members across Scotland and more than 6,000 waiting to join.

At this informal lunch Denise will share her personal stories of how to make successful links and will be on the look out to make more connections in the Borders!


Programme:

12.00 Arrival, tea / coffee

12.10 Introductions

12.20 Presentation: 'Making Connections and Building Communities'

A short input on how to approach realising your charity’s ambitions by making links with others.

12.35 - 13.00 Questions and discussions

13.00 - 14.00 Lunch / Good Practice Sharing / Next Meeting Plans

This will be an opportunity for informal networking, continuing discussions and a chance to promote the work of your organisation.

There will also be the chance to share experiences and build new networks across sub-sectors, discussing the main issues that Chief Officers are dealing with and how a local network of Chief Officers/Senior Managers could be of benefit through peer support and good practice sharing.
