About this event

Borderscapes Project: Embedding Linguistics in Teaching Toolkit

We are delighted to invite you to the launch of Languaging, a new wiki fandom space developed as part of the AHRC-funded Borderscapes project (https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/languages-cultures-and-film/research/projects/borderscapes/). This free online event will introduce a collaborative platform designed for teachers and practitioners across a wide range of subject areas, including Languages, English, Communication and Media, Geography, and Sociology, as well as anyone with an interest in the role of language and linguistics in shaping the teaching and learning experience.

Languaging is more than just a resource hub: it is a living, community-driven space where educators and practitioners can:

  • Network with one another across disciplines and regions
  • Share resources and good practice to strengthen classroom teaching and learning
  • Keep informed of upcoming events and opportunities
  • Ask questions and exchange advice with peers
  • Organise collectively to inform and influence policies that affect language, education, and community life

The space is designed to thrive through the active participation of its users. Without contributions from teachers and practitioners, the wiki would remain static, but with your involvement, it can grow into an everyday tool that supports teaching, fosters collaboration, and amplifies professional voices.

Join us for the launch to explore the space, learn how to get involved, and start building this community together.
