Is it pushchair or scooters?

Accepted Answer

Due to the uneven surfaces of Borth beach and soft sand would cause access to be restricted. All terrain pushchairs may be accessible.

Will there be refreshments?

Refreshments will be available at Borth station during and after the event, so please bring some cash.

Question 3

Is it a family event?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this is a fun family event. Everyone in the family is invited even your well-behaved dog.

Question 4

Can dogs accompany participants on the run?

Accepted Answer

Yes - well behaved, non reactive dogs on a fixed lead can accompany owners. However, participants have to adhere to these safety measures: Start at the back to avoid collisions with others; throughout the run, consider other runners in your path /nearby and all dog mess to be cleared immediately.

Are you providing finish times for the participants?

As this is not a race but a family fun run we will not be providing finish times.

Will there be refreshments?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we will be providing refreshments at the finish line. Free mince pie and drink for all runners.
As this is a short run (1K) there will be no water stations along the run. Please bring water with you if needed.

Is there parking?

Parking is available along the road and there is a free public car park at the finish (by the RNLI Station).

Is the route wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

The route is a challenge as a steps lead to the beach to the start line. Borth beach has uneven surfaces and soft sand and this causes access to be restricted.

Are spectator areas wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from the promenade North Borth beach, at start line and at the finish line by the RNLI Station.

Do I/we have to run?

Accepted Answer

You can run, walk, skip, hop or cartwheel to the finish line

Question 11

Are their toilets nearby?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there are public toilets (40p charge applies. Cash or contactless) by the start line and at the finish line.

Question 12

Do I have to wear fancy dress?

Accepted Answer

You can wear whatever you like. There will be a prize for best dress Christmassy outfit.
