We are back with another inspired evening of music 🎵 channelling the rich and vibrant rhythms of Brazil. 🌴🥁🎸🌎 🌊
Expect a smooth flow, from lazy Sunday Bossa Nova grooves ☀️ 😌 to faster-paced bossa, samba, MPB and more, as the evening builds. 🕺🪩💃🔥
Come experience both the classic covers and the magic of new on-the-spot creations! ♾️✨️🎤🎶🎹
The local jam community consists of a large and talented pool of musicians, please show up and join in! Everyone is welcome – musicians, poets, dancers, and music lovers! ❤️🎧
Local artist Dave Holmes will lead the main event 🎸🎙with his in-depth knowledge of Bossa Nova, including collaborations with one of the genre’s founders and his experience performing at events with Samba percussion groups 🥁
⌚️ Timings:
🕔 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Pre-jam warm-up performance. Local songwriter Dave Holmes performs some of his originals – a unique mix of folk, soul, blues, and tasty bossa chords. 🎵✨ 🔗 bit.ly/DaveHolmesTunes
🕕 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Bossa Nova Covers Jam Bring your voice 🎤 or instrument 🎹🎸 or just your +ve vibe!✨💛, for a collaborative session of Bossa Nova classics and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira). 🎶
🕘 8 - 9 PM: Brazilian Vibes / Freestyle
The jam session will go full improv – with Bossa, samba, funk, and beyond! 🔥🪘🎵🎷 🎛️ PA, amps & cahon based drum kit provided.
(Drummers please note that full standard drum kits can not be accomodated currently, due to sound level restrictions, however the cahon kit is setup with a foot pedal for kick plus hats and snare and Brazilian tamborim).
The venue features a beer garden, and food is served from 12 to 7pm !
