The evening will focus on USA Rugby’s strategic plan, key priorities for advancement of the Olympic team, and fostering youth and high school growth and development.
Dan Payne, CEO of USA Rugby
Dan Payne joined USA Rugby as its Chief Executive Officer in July 2016. Payne most recently served as the Athletics Director for rugby powerhouse Life University, where he added 10 varsity sports programs and spurred a growth to over 300 student athletes. In 2009, Payne joined Life University as Director of Rugby and reintroduced their Men's and Women's undergraduate programs as varsity sports where has seen both programs win a total of seven National Championships in both 15s and 7s. He began his rugby playing career with Old Blue of New York before moving to San Diego, CA and joining Old Mission Beach Athletic Club. Payne would go on to play Flanker and Number 8 for the USA Rugby Eagles during the 2007 Rugby World Cup and later served as an Assistant Coach for the Eagles and Forwards Coach. Jeff Sperling, Secretary of the New England Rugby Football Union & Atlantic North Representative to USA Rugby Congress
Jeff is the Secretary of the New England Rugby Football Union, as well as the Atlantic North Representative to USA Rugby Congress. Additionally, Jeff is a Coach Educator for USA Rugby and has coached at the youth, high school, college and club levels. Most recently, Jeff has joined the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association’s Rugby Committee to assist the implementation of rugby as a state-approved varsity sport (spring 2017). Jeff is also the founder and manager of RugbySafe, LLC, where he delivers sessions on safe and effective tackling instruction to football and rugby programs throughout the area. email@example.com
Bill Good, president of Massachusetts Youth Rugby Organization (MYRO)
Bill Good is the current president of the Massachusetts Youth Rugby Organization [MYRO] which is responsible for the growth, development and management of rugby from youth levels through high school.
