We are back for 2022 and are being hosted once again by the outstanding Scott Gibson!

About this event

The Big, Bald, Bearded Glaswegian. A naturally skillful and riveting raconteur, Gibson mixes a conversational style with his own unique brand of dark humour, gloriously bad language and shrewd observations.

Working any room he plays like a champion Gibson's amazing ability to sneak powerful themes and experiences into what might appear to be a traditionally bawdy set, full of toilet humour and political incorrectness, has allowed him to move up the ranks quicker than many before him.

His brush with mortality galvanised him into becoming a stand-up and inspired the show Life After Death, which won the then 32-year-old the Edinburgh Comedy Best Newcomer Award at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe. Making him the first Scottish Comic in history to do so.

Graham Mackie:

Graham is a seasoned circuit stalwart who has been gigging regularly on the scene in Scotland for over 20 years and there's just no substitute for experience.

Graham's claim to fame is that he has gotten himself into the final of the "Scottish Comedian of The Year" competition FOUR times!

Nobody else has ever achieved this remarkable feat and it's a testament to the talent and determination of the big man.

Down to Earth and just plain funny is the only way to describe Graham Mackie who has drawn some very fine material indeed from his dysfunctional home life and his eventful career in teaching.

Paul Currie:

Paul Currie was born and still lives in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He has carved himself a reputation since 2005 as an uncompromising underground alternative comedian in the UK, Australia and Europe building up a loyal fan base with his unique style of genre breaking stand-up since his debut at The Big Tickle comedy festival in Derry City when he won the best new comer competition back in 2005. Fusing traditional stand up with the energy and crowd work of his street performing background, mixed with puppetry, clowning and cabaret he offers audiences something new and refreshing. He has featured on TV in BBC comedy show “LIVE AT THE ELECTRIC”. His first solo show at Edinburgh fringe was in 2009, he then returned in 2011 as part of Avalon’s prestigious “COMEDY ZONE” a showcase that launched many names like The Mighty Boosh, Stewart Lee, Lee Evans, Al Murray, Russell Howard. He won the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Comedians Choice award for BEST SHOW in 2018. Paul is a stand out performer at the Adelaide Fringe, the Melbourne Comedy Festival & Edinburgh Fringe Festivals with sell out performances and 5 star reviews for his shows THE STICKY BIVOUAC, RELEASE THE BABOONS, CATS IN MY MOUTH, HOT DONKEY, FFFFFFFMILK, and TRUFFICLE MUSK. Paul is also a Jim Henson muppeteer and has performed and voiced puppets on Jim Henson Pajanimals, Sesame Tree, Driftwood Bay, Big and Small and Furchester Hotel. Paul lives in Belfast and performs across the U.K., Ireland, Australia & Europe.

He is also a regular sell out show at the Utrecht Comedy festival in Holland and had sell out shows at the Schaubudensommer Festival in Dresden, Germany. He plays Germany, Denmark, Netherlands and Belgium and yet he speaks non of these languages! Paul’s comedy and clowning crosses many cultural barriers and hits that human funny bone that we all share.
