Botley to Manor Farm and Hamble River
Join this captivating medium-paced 2-hour journey through the scenic heart of Hampshire, starting at the Botley Centre. You’ll meander through charming countryside paths to Manor Farm, taking in the tranquil flow of the Hamble River. Along the way, you’ll pause at key spots to uncover fascinating snippets of local history. Midway, you'll stop at Manor Farm Cafe for refreshments and a comfort stop (please note: card payment only). Whether you're a history buff, nature lover, or just fancy a delightful afternoon out, this walk promises fresh air, friendly company, and a few surprises along the way.
On the day

The nearest train station is Botley (22 minute walk - 1.6km).
The nearest bus stop is adjacent to the car park - Brook Lane served by 3, 49 and 425.
The car park is free.
Please wear suitable clothes for the weather and stout walking shoes or trainers. Bring along:
- a bottle of water
- payment card if you'd like a drink at the cafe
- sunhat and suncream
We will end the walk back at the Botley Centre car park.
Please Note:
Walk grade: harder - a longer walk, medium paced, walking for approximately 1.5 hours with a 30 minute break. A few slight slopes. Walking mainly on established footpaths. Some parts of the walk are on uneven surfaces.
Who should attend: Adults and older children. Sorry pets are not allowed to join a led walk unless they are a guide or assistance dog.
Child friendly: Yes, older children who can manage a longer walk - any under 18s attending any of the activities must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Not suitable for pushchairs or scooters.

Facilities: Toilets are available at the start point and at Manor Farm (approximately 1 hour).
Access: Not suitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooter. Will include footpaths, fields, woodland paths, narrow paths, uneven surfaces, tarmac road and gentle slopes. There are no stiles.
