An interdisciplinary event on resilience in health and social care aimed at nursing, midwifery, medical and social work students and staff

About this Event

The event will be held in Queen's University MBC- South Lecture Theatre. Refreshments will be provided.

Opening address by Karen Murray, RCM Director NI

Guest speakers include:

  • Dr Paula McFadden, Senior lecturer in Social Work, Magee Campus, Ulster University. Dr McFadden has completed research regionally, nationally and internationally in relation to stress, burnout and resilience.
  • Dr Patricia Gillen, jointly appointed as Reader in the School of Nursing, Ulster University and Head of R&D for Nurses, Midwives and AHPs in SHSCT. Dr Gillen's areas of interest include bullying, workplace culture and workforce wellbeing.
  • Stephen Hamilton, Psychiatric Nurse, Tutor, Associate Lecturer at QUB and WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) Group Facilitator. Stephen's areas of interest include student and workforce health and wellbeing.
