We consider this course as part of our essential learning series that all Health and Social Care staff, volunteers and students should be clear about.
Aim: To ensure that staff and volunteers working directly with people understand the importance of maintaining appropriate boundaries in their practice.
By the end of the training participants will
Have considered the relationship between personal limits and professional boundaries
Be able to recognise the signs of over and under involvement
Be aware of the values which underline the concept of boundaries
Exploring the role of boundaries in multi-agency working.
Understand the links between boundaries and service design.
Have considered the appropriate use of self to promote recovery
Jean Budge is one of our leading trainers. She is a very experienced cousellor and supervisor of counselling and support services. She has led Health in Mind’s Trauma support services for many years and designed and delivered a range of levels of training that ensures our practice stays informed by good practice. Boundaries is core to this.

This course is in at training room, which is not accessible for physical disabilities. Please contact us if this affects you and we will relocate the course. The course includes teas, coffee and biscuits but does not include lunch as there are lots of lunch outlet choices just beside us.

If you need to cancel your booking and give more than two weeks’ notice, we will refund your payment in full. If you cancel with less than two weeks’ notice, we will refund 50% of your fee.
