The aim of the Civil Service is to be the most inclusive UK employer and supporting senior ethnic diversity is a key part of this.

Statistics show proportionately there are fewer representatives from an ethnic minority background the higher up the grades you go.

This event over the day is to encourage all, but particularly those from a Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic heritage on their leadership journey.

The day will be a mixture of hearing inspiring diverse leadership journeys and top tips for progression; driving inclusion through positive role modelling and mentoring, and will also feature an interview with Bernadette Thompson OBE and top tips for progression.

The day is intended to encourage all civil servants, and especially those from a Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic heritage, on their leadership journey. We want to help motivate and empower all civil servants wherever you work.
