Event description

Description

Cows come in all shapes and sizes, and with our ‘Bovine for Beginners’ course, we’ll teach you all about them! Whether you’ve got a small holding, a parcel of land or you’re a budding cattle farmer looking for some advice, this is the course for you. Our cattle expert, Sam Walton, will go through the different breeds of cattle, general care and feeding of stock, looking after the calving cow and also care of a new born calf. All our cows at the farm are due to give birth around the time of this course, so there may even be a live demonstration! This course will be ideal for anyone looking to take on some cattle, whatever the shape or size. A special opportunity to gain an insight into cattle with our experienced Farm team. Suitable for both adults and children aged 8 years old and above. Due to the nature of the event, children must be accompanied by an adult, who must also purchase a ticket. This event must be pre-booked and includes park entry admission on the day of the workshop.
