Description

Are you a industrial, commerical, sole trader, charity or pre-start up business interested in finding out about what business support is available in your area? This could be access to property, training, health and welfare of staff to understanding of trading standards regulations to potential routes for grants and loans.

If the answer is 'yes' then Durham County Council is offering Bowburn businesses the opportunity to access a range of support. Business Durham will hold an informal drop-in session 8.30am-12pm on Monday 23rd April at Bowburn Community Association. This will be an opportunity for local businesses of all sizes and sectors to meet each other and see what assistance they could receive from the Council. Organisations attending include;

Durham Business Opportunities Programme – Intensive support for Childcare, Creative, Food and Drink, Manufacturing sectors and signposting advice

Digital Drive which offers grants of up to 40% for digital technology projects.

Community Economic Development Team - Advice and support for retail based businesses

Business Energy Efficiency Project – Energy audits / advice for SME’s

Durham Savers / Credit Union - support for bsuiness employees

Durham Works – Apprentices / training

Durham Sparks – advice and support for community organisations, charities and CICs

Better Business for All – Support for business to navigate and understand regulatory issues around trading standards, environmental health and licensing function

Better Health at Work Awards – support for businesses employees to improve health and wellbegin of their staff.
