Please note that this class consists of three separate workshops - these will take place on Monday 10th, 17th and 24th November from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
Suitable for absolute beginners or those with some of experience of clay looking to expand their knowledge and skill. You will learn the basics of slip casting and pressmoulding techniques.
In the first class you will learn how to use slip to pour in to plaster moulds, refining them and making a nest of three different size bowls.
In the second class you will use plaster molds to make a further 3 bowls, by pressing slabs of clay into the plaster molds, learning how to refine and add surface decoration if you wish.
In the third and final class you will glaze all 6 of your hand made bowls. They will be ready to take home the following week.
