Brixton People's Kitchen is bringing people together once more to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. We are calling all Lambeth Walk residents, alongside our local community to come and meet your neighbours, share a meal, and most importantly, have some fun!

Brixton People’s Kitchen will be inviting businesses and caterers to contribute and provide us all with a free, yummy and nutritious meal. We will also be working with our surplus food vendors to run a pay as you feel, pop-up grocery store where you can pick some fresh veggies, and cupboard staples. There will also be music, and some live performances too.

• Shifts: 10AM - 2PM / 2PM - 6PM

Volunteer Description: We need help to make our street party a success! As a street party helper, you will help set up our street party and assist the Brixton People’s Kitchen staff throughout the day. All volunteers will be encouraged to join in with the community and enjoy the festivities.

A list of duties includes:

• helping to set up or (at the end of the day) clear up the street party
• help to keep the street clean and tidy throughout the day
• chat with our community and make them feel welcome and have a great time!

We have separated the shift into 2 groups; (1) AM (10am - 2 pm) and (2) PM (2pm-6pm).
