The event will celebrate twenty years since the Psychology of Sexualities Section was founded. There will be keynote talks from some of the leading practitioners and researchers in the field and a look back at the history of the Section from current and former chairs.

You will have the chance to hear about work being conducted by researchers and practitioners working in the area of sexualities, including topics such as:

* LGTBQ+ experiences, identities, relationships, communities and health

* Non-monogamies

* Sexual fluidity

* Asexuality

* Representation and marginalisation of LGBTQ+ identities (e.g., heterosexism, homophobia, biphobia and transphobia, in media, politics, healthcare, professional settings)

* Feminist, queer and other critical approaches to Sexualities

Lunch and tea and coffee breaks are included in the cost of registration.

(Please note start and finish times are subject to change as the programme is yet to be finalised.)

You are warmly invited to the conference dinner on Thursday evening at Finch's gastropub


The three course set menu costs £35 and you will be asked to select from the following options on the booking page:


Roasted beetroots, freekah, black sesame, spinach,broad beans salad (vegan)

Soup of the day, gluten free bread (vegetarian)

Suffolk chorizo, cobble lane beef salami, butlers secret cheddar, rosary ash goats cheese, crackers


Roast squash. red onion, salsify, giant cous cous, rasal hanout, rocket, apricot (vegan)

Roasted pumpkin, truffled chestnut mushroom, tomato & tarragon fondue, walnut crumble (vegan)

Roast chicken breast, ham hock potato stew

Roast hake, sweet potato fondant, samphire, lemon butter


Pear and date pudding with baked apple (vegan)

Chocolate brownie, creme fraiche ice-cream

Cheese board, mature cheddar. rosary ash goats, smoked applewood, blue monday, crackers


Is the venue accessible?

The conference building is fully accessible for wheelchair users and an induction loop is available in the large main meeting room.

Please note: access for mobility scooters is not available at this time due to the weight limits of the stairlift. They are working to resolve this with further investment, but in the meantime can only accomodate non-powered wheelchairs. Please advise us in advance of your visit if you need the use of a non-powered wheelchair.

Disabled parking facilities are available at the NCP car park in Clere Street. These can be booked in advance by contacting the office directly (subject to availability).

Finch's Pub is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible toilet.

Is the conference gender inclusive?

The section is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment.

Gender specific and gender neutral toilets are available at the conference venue and at Finch's Pub.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The conference venue is located a few minutes' walk from Old Street station in Hackney

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we will have a record of your registration and your dinner menu choices (if applicable). However, if you have selected a reduced price section member or student ticket please bring proof of status.
