Toru Oyama is a Japanese pianist who has been continually expanding his musicality and musicianship. He earned a BA in Letters (English Literature) from Keio University in Tokyo before moving to Europe, where he studied with Professor Julian Jacobson at Royal College of Music in London and at Utrecht Conservatorium with Professor Alan Weiss. Toru performs all across Europe, in Japan and Southeast Asia. He was appointed as ‘Artist in Residence’ at the Jakarta Conservatory of Music from October 2014 to January 2015. His artistic activities have been covered by a wide range of media.
