The Bracknell Forest Careers Event on Thursday 13th October 2016 is a fantastic window of opportunity for job seekers, young and old, to get the best possible information about education, training and employment prospects. This major event has been put together by Learning to Work and business sponsors from across the local area.
A host of employers, training and education providers and specialist advisors will be on hand to offer information and practical help on being ready for the world of work and offering guidance to people who are looking for work.
During the day, Year 11 students from Bracknell Forest secondary schools will have the chance to ask questions, pick up ideas and make contact with potential employers.
An afternoon/evening session (3.30pm to 6.30pm) session will follow the same pattern but will be open to anyone in the local area looking for work or thinking about training and education routes. There will also be free 30 minute 1-2-1 sessions with local business volunteers to get expert 1-2-1 advice on CV Preparation and/or Interview Techniques, as well as the chance to hear about local vacancies and volunteering opportunities.
Sessions will be taking place from 4pm to 6pm. To take part in a session please bring along your CV and register at the Learning to Work Registration Desk on arrival.
