Event description

Description

Lead by Robert Bell - a bat expert from South Yorkshire Bat Group, the walk will head out from St Nicholas' church. Learn about bat ecology and the different species you can find in the area as we look and listen for bats. We will follow a circular route down to the reservoir and back to the church, taking in the different habitats that bats use.

There will be handheld bat detectors for you to use too.

There is also the opportunity to see a moth trap in use and look at the different species found on the night. Please note that moth traps do not harm them and all will be released.

The Bat Walk must be booked in advance please Email -sheffieldlakeland@wildsheffield.com with any questions

This event is part of the Three Parish Woodland Celebration - a collaboration between the parish councils of Sheffield and the partners of the Sheffield Lakeland.
