Bradford Death Cafe at Bread & Roses
This Death Cafe is a safe space to informally talk about death and all things related. Everyone welcome.
About this event
This Death Cafe is a safe space to talk about death and all things related. It can be difficult to find the time in daily life to talk about the topic, so the Death Cafe movement was set up to enable people to talk. These sessions aren't designed as therapy, but we find that talking about death can help us appreciate life.
In this first Death Cafe of the year at Bread and Roses we will find out why everyone has come. If we want to, we will talk about how approaches to death and bereavement have changed through time and across the world, see where the conversation takes us. The session will be facilitated by Karina who is an archaeologist and also researches death and bereavement, Nicola who is a Community Artist and Mike who is a zine maker. The session will be informal and non-judgement - do come along to share your experiences and thoughts, or simply to find out more - everyone is welcome.
Please feel free to craft while we chat, knit or crochet, paper and pens will be available for doodling.
The session is FREE, hot drinks and cakes are available to purchase during our time together.
