Brading Down Pits and Paths - 1.5 miles
Hear some of the history of the chalk pits at Brading, walk in the footsteps of Roman farmers, and find the quick route down to the Roman Villa and back. There are some steps and steep ground. Slippery in wet weather: please wear appropriate shoes and clothing.

Start Location: Meet by the chalkboard at Brading Down Car Park, off Brading Down Road, PO36 0ER. Please note there are several car parks, meet at the lower one. Grid reference SZ 59722 86903.
Pace of Walk: Moderate - This walk will follow a moderate pace.
Walk grade: Moderate - Varying landscape with some more challenging slopes. Stiles and steps to be expected en route, suitable for keen walkers and anyone who is reasonably active.
Walkers need to be reasonably agile and mobile. Not suitable for walkers with mobility impairment of any kind
