About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

 🧠 Tuesday 6th August, 18:30–19:30 (BST)

📍 Online via Zoom (link sent 24 hours before)

Join us for an hour of connection and insight—whether you're considering epilepsy surgery, or have already braved the journey, or simply want to learn more. This promises to be an insightful online discussion,

This online event is hosted by Lisa Upton, Founder of Brain Buddy and former patient at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN). Since launching Brain Buddy in 2017, Lisa has built a growing support network for people navigating the journey of epilepsy surgery. We’ll also be joined by neurologists Professor John Duncan and Professor Matthew Walker, who will share updates from Queen Square and speak about developments in epilepsy surgery and patient care.

What you can expect:

  • Updates on Brain Buddy’s recent activities, upcoming events, and ways to get involved
  • Insights into current research, developments, and innovations in epilepsy care
  • An open Q&A session to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with others

💜 Who is this for?

People with epilepsy, those considering or recovering from brain surgery, family members, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning more about epilepsy support.

💸 Tickets are free. Once registered, you'll receive a webinar link 24 hours prior to the talk.

Optional voluntary donations are welcome. All proceeds go to The National Brain Appeal, supporting innovations at NHNN.
