☀️ What's on offer? ☀️
A chance to come and learn a new skill of knit and crochet from amazing textile artist and designer Cathy Van Hear. You will be contributing to a large collaborative artwork and piece of decor for Brainchild Festival 2017. You will also meet members of our design team, gain feedback and insight into how we run art and design on a large scale at the festival.

Materials are covered and sessions are free, but there's a £5 deposit that you'll get back at the end. Maximum 10 participants for each session, booking is essential >

☀️ More about Cathy ☀️
Cathy is a freelance knitwear designer and maker working across fashion, set, and décor. She is a volunteer on brainchilds design team. Working for a diverse collection of brands has allowed her to develop a creative style with an emphasis on unusual combinations of texture, a playful approach to colour, and creating pieces that celebrate the technical properties of the stitches used. Cathy focusses on working with brands and companies with a similarly playful aesthetic and technical focus, as well as an emphasis on sustainable and ethical design practises. She has worked with Katie Jones, Selfridges, and several independent designers on their fashion week collections, alongside designing and making décor for festivals including Glastonbury Festival (official), Secret Garden Party, and Wilderness Festival.
