Is there is a deadline to pay for the course?

Yes - payment is required by 16th Jan 2026 in order to confirm sufficient funding to cover course fees and presenter expenses. Please contact the organiser if you would like to register a booking following this date.

Yes - lunch and refreshments are provided.

Is parking available?

Parking is very limited therefore public transport is recommended where possible. Onsite parking available for €18 . Pay and display parking available on some roads in and round Merrion and RTE (not guaranteed a space) Our lady Queen of Peace Church also offers parking €9 (5 min walk).

What are the public transport options?

Bus from Houston: Number 4 bus Number 7 bus also comes to St Vincent’s. Closest Dart stop: Sydney Parade: 10 min walk You can also get a bus to UCD (20 minute walk)

Where in St Vincent's Hospital will the course be held?

Education and Research Centre (ERC) located just off the Nutley Wing Corridor in the main building. Please ask reception staff for directions if required.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This two day interactive workshop is suitable for professionals working with adults who have insight problems following brain injury. The course presents a practical model within which to understand awareness and acceptance problems following brain injury. The workshop format encourages the development of practical activities that can be put into practice within teams.

AIMS:

To extend skills and knowledge about the concept of insight following brain injury

To introduce materials that can be used to assess insight

To provide practical treatment approaches to take away and use with clients/patients.
