IIn this course we’ll cover the key types of brakes you might find on your bike and the basics of maintaining and adjusting them.

Brakes are the most important item on your bike to keep you safe, and looking after them means you can ride your bike with confidence (and save yourself some money!)

We'll cover all types of rim, disc and hub brakes including how to inspect and adjust the brake calipers as well as the pads.

This summer's classes are all funded by Cycling UK's Big Bike Revival - thank you to them!

Organised by

We're a friendly DIY community bike workshop in Colchester town centre run completely by volunteers.

For a suggested minimum donation of just £5 you can make use of our fully stocked workshop to work on your own bike, either on your own or under the supervision of one of our mechanics.
